After polling, it's time for candidates to relax

Friday, 30 November 2018 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

The candidates of both Congress and BJP, after polling for the State assembly elections on Wednesday, were on Thursday seen relaxing and exhausted.

For the past 15 days, the candidates and their family members were busy in extensive campaigning for reaching out to maximum voters. The campaigning had come to an end on November 26, but their movement for door-to-door continued till the polling day, on Wednesday.

BJP candidate from Govindpura constituency Krishna Gaur looked relaxed and confident. She was seen busy at home taking care of her cows and in her routine chores. Besides, she also discussed booth-wise voting with the support to gauge her on winning meter.

On the other hand, Congress candidate Girish Sharma spent most of his time in relaxing and he was also keen in analyzing voting with his supporters and party workers.

The Congress nominee from Bhopal South-West constituency PC Sharma was one among those facing tough fight. He had staged dharna at a booth where EVMs did not function for around one hour. He was seen tensed spending day with his family members. His counterpart from BJP Umashankar Gupta followed his routine by reaching his office at 9 am and then meeting his supporters.

Minister and BJP candidate Vishwas Sarang from Narela constituency was found surrounded by supporters and was in jovial mood and seemed confident of victory.

The Congress candidate from here, Mahendra Singh Chouhan seemed little exhausted which could be due to two reasons- one he sensed less voting in his favour or grueling campaigning.

The Huzur constituency came into limelight after BJP candidate Rameshar Sharma’s audio of abusing became viral but on Thursday he was not seen disturbed and maintained routine as usual.

He looked the he had hit the nail.

Congress candidate Naresh Gyanchandani remained silent as he was in deep thought calculating votes by his community in his favour as Bairagarh area was Kolar could make it possible for him.

The Bhopal central constituency which is close fight witnessed both the BJP and Congress candidates in relaxed mood and were confident of their victory.

Bhopal North constituency which is only stronghold area of Congress might witness fight as BJP fielded Muslim candidate to contest Areef Aqeel who remains unbeaten.

BJP candidate from here Fatima Siddiqui remained confident while Arif Aqeel maintained his attitude of a winner on the next day of voting.
