A 42-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by unidentified assailants on Monday night in Aman Vihar area of National Capital.
According to Seju P Kuruvilla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Outer district, the deceased has been identified as Harish a resident of Rohini. "The incident occurred around 9 pm on Monday when Harish along with his few friends was gambling in an under construction building in Aman Vihar area," said the DCP.
"Three to four men came to him and asked for money. Harish and his friends resisted the assailants following which they fired at Harish and fled the spot," said the DCP.
"Harish was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. We have registered a case in Aman Vihar Police Station. We are scanning CCTV footage in the area to identify the accused. Further investigation is going on," the DCP added.
