Panic prevailed at a farm house after a man in the 30 years age group found dead inside a well near Milestone School under Kolar police station area on Sunday.
Police were informed by locals after a man was found inside a well at farm house owned by Rakesh Saxena in Kolar area.
SHO Kolar Sunil Kumar Sharma said that identification of the deceased is yet to be established. Nothing which could help in the establishing identity was found from the body.
In the initial investigation no visible injury mark was found over the body. There were no tattoos on the body. The body came to the surface on Sunday after which locals informed the police, he added.
He said that the deceased looks like labour as instead of belt a cloth rope was tied. The body swelled and is around 2-3 days old. All police stations and outposts have been messaged regarding the deceased which could help in establishing the identity of the deceased.
The farm is owned by Rakesh Saxena who died few years ago while his family members live in foreign country. The land does not have boundaries and few shanties have also been erected over the land. During the investigation hands and legs were tied and body was hanged. It would be investigated the deceased was hanged before or after death.
Body was sent for the post mortem after the preliminary investigation. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. After receiving the post mortem a case under section 302 of the IPC would be registered.
