Haryana Government on Tuesday claimed that 24- hour uninterrupted electricity on the pattern of towns is being supplied under 400 feeders covering 1811 villages under Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon scheme.
Besides, electricity has been made available on the lines of towns in all rural feeders in five districts of Panchkula, Ambala, Gurugram, Faridabad and Sirsa, said a spokesman of Power Utilities.
He said that Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is supplying round-the-clock power in 876 villages under 122 feeders. These included 19 feeders covering 272 villages in Panchkula district, 60 feeders covering 431 villages of Ambala, 12 feeders covering 49 villages in Kurukshetra, 17 feeders covering 48 villages in Karnal, 74 villages in Yamunanagar, one feeder covering one village each in Panipat and Rohtak district, said he.
Similarly, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is supplying 24 hours power in 935 villages covered under 278 feeders. These included 45 feeders covering 215 villages in Gurugram district, 29 covering 135 villages of Faridabad, 136 feeders covering 350 villages in Sirsa, 6 feeders covering 20 villages in Rewari, 45 feeders covering 145 villages in Fatehabad, 5 feeders covering 17 villages in Bhiwani, three feeders covering 11 villages in Mahendergarh, 2 feeders covering 5 villages in Hisar, 6 feeders covering 36 villages in Nuh and one feeder covering one village in Jind district, the spokesman said.
He added that Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon scheme was launched in 2015 with an objective to provide 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to rural domestic consumers.
