A 23-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death on Saturday evening by four people in Govindpuri area of national Capital, said police on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Rishi, a resident of Govindpuri in South-East Delhi. According to senior police official, the incident occurred around 6 pm on Saturday. “Police was informed by staff of Mahjidiya Hospital regarding Rishi who was declared brought dead and have multiple stab injuries on his body. Rishi died due to excessive bleeding,” said the senior police official.
“A police team was dispatched for the hospital. During initial investigation it was revealed that Rishi on Saturday evening had gone with some people who knew him. After a while Rishi’s brother received a call regarding Rishi being injured,” said the senior police official. “The body has been sent for autopsy. A case under appropriate sections has been registered and one of the accused has been arrested. Efforts are being made to arrest the other accused. Further investigation is going on to know the reason behind the crime,” the senior police official added.
