2019 to be poverty eradication year: CM

Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the present Government is a Government devoted to betterment of the poor.

“I assure you all that year 2019 will be a year of poverty eradication. Villages and poor farmers will be rich. Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to provide permanent houses to all poor homeless people by 2022 but the present government aims at making the house available to all the poor homeless people of the state till 2020,” said the CM.

Addressing people in a cultural meet of the Hatia Displaced Family Committee, the CM said that displaced families have been an important contributor to the settlement of the State.

Jharkhand inherited displacement from Bihar and since the formation of the present government, the goal of the government has been that the first restoration again displacement, he said.

“It has been the priority of the government to provide all the displaced families pucca houses.

All the poor families living in the vicinity of the newly constructed Assembly complex will be given a government unit of two rooms, kitchen and toilet in the form of a colony at any one place.

The colony, which will be developed on the pattern of Adarsh colony, will also have facilities for marriage hall, park etc.

Employment will also be made available to the poor families as well as arranging food for the home. Poor children and girls who are less educated will be made skilled. Unskilled children and girls will be trained by skill development training so that they can get engaged with employment and live a life of respect,” said the CM.

“The largest panchayat assembly of the State is made on your land. You have given the land after being displaced. It is the government’s priority to have all-round development of all displaced people,” he said requesting the people of the displaced family that they must train their children under skill development training program.

The CM said that promoting women empowerment is one of the top priorities of the government. He said that the present government has taken many important decisions for women.

 For the social and economic uplift of women, they have been linked to various types of jobs by providing loans from the bank to the Sakhi mandals.

Jharkhand is the first state in the country where the property of Rs 50 lakhs in the name of women is being monitored in Rs 1 only. More than 1 lakh 20 thousand women of the State have taken advantage of it and have become the owners of their property.

The CM said that the state government has conducted all the public welfare schemes in the villages, the poor and the farmers.

The government's priority is to double the income of the farmers. Government has announced this for the all round development of the farmers that the farmers of the state will be given subsidy of Rs 5,000 per acre for the Kharif crop every year for the purchase of fertilizers and seeds. People of the peasantry will be able to use this amount to increase the yield by their discretion.

Das said that the State government is providing lease to displaced families so that they do not have any problem in making identity cards etc.

The State government is giving the ownership rights to the displaced people.

On this occasion, Khijri MLA Ram Kumar Pahan, Displaced Family Committee, Pankaj Shahdev, Vice President, Kalam Azad, Vice President Meghnath, Secretary, Karma Oraon, Guardian Ashok Shahdev, Secretary Mahaveer Munda, Member Jharkhand State Freedom Fighters Fund  Lal Pravir Nath Shahdev, including the people of Hatia displaced family and others were present.
