Arthroplasty Assn holds conf at KIMS
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Arthroplasty Association (OAA) held its 2 an annual conference in the KIMS campus here recently. More than 100 delegates attended the meeting presided over by OAA president Dr Tanmoy Mohanty. AIIMS, New Delhi’s Prof Dr CS Yadav shared his experiences on Arthroplasty while Dr Ananta Mohapatra from UK discussed about joint replacement. Dr Vikash Kapoor performed a live surgery and Prof Dr Subhransu Mohanty from Mumbai shared his experience. Among others, KIMS Principal Prof Jyotin Kumar Das, KIIT Pro-Chancellor Dr Subrat Kumar Acharya, OAA secretary Dr Debabrata Padhi, vice-president Biswajit Sahu, Dr Abani Kanta Mishra and Orthopedics Prof BK Behera were present.
SBI staff hold Swachhta Pakhwada drive
Bhubaneswar: The staffs of SBI Bhubaneswar Circle organised a meeting on Thursday in connection with the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign. The staffs took a pledge to dedicate themselves in the Swachhta Abhiyan in the presence of Chief General Manager Praveena Kala, GM (I) DS Mishra, GM (II) Goutam Bhattacharya and DGM Gouranga Charan Behera of the circle.
Kalinga Nagar DAV observes Sports Day
Bhubaneswar: As a tribute to hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, the National Sports Day was observed at the Kalinga Nagar DAV Public School here on Wednesday. A skating show and a mini marathon were organised. More than 300 students with their parents participated. Principal Bipin Kumar Sahoo spoke about Dhyan Chand’s contribution to the Indian hockey. The winners of the mini marathon were felicitated with certificates and trophies. The event ended with a grand success.
