Bio-Toilet model at Hatia Station

A Bio-Toilet model was inaugurated here on Friday at Hatia Station by a passenger, Shahil Kaushal in the presence of DRM Vijay Kumar Gupta. Considering environmental benefits, Bio-Toilet model is being promoted by the Railways. Also, in an attempt to create awareness among the passengers who trashes plastic bottles and other materials inside the toilets that eventually chokes the toilets, the model was inaugurated for demonstration.

Ruckus over death of infant

A group of about 150 villagers created ruckus at Potka police station after a four-month baby died early IJon Friday morning due to allegedly wrong vaccination administered on her at an Anganwari in Hesselbil village under Potka police station area in East Singhbhum district . The police said deceased Rani Kumari who was daughter of Aswini Kaibarto, a resident of Hesselbil village had been injected Penta-3 vaccine by an ancilliary nursing midwife (ANM).

Felicitation ceremony in DPS

DPS Ranchi organized a felicitation ceremony for the students of Senior and Junior Wing, who will take on the responsibilities of Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy/ Deputy Head Girl, Cultural Secretaries, and various respective sections. IG, CRPF, Sanjay Anand latkar was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who felicitated the Senior Wing Students for their new job responsibilities.

Dissemination meet on education

Save the Children organized the dissemination meet of its girls’ education project “Empowering Marginalised Girls Through Quality Education” here on Friday. The organization has reached more than 4000 girls through its intervention in these government run residential schools. Save the Children collaborated with Jharkhand Education Project Council and local NGO Partners Vikas Bharti and Srijan Mahila Vikas Manch to implement the project in these selected KGBVs.

Railway officials retire

Eight railway personnel retired on Friday from Ranchi Division. Besides the retirement allowances they were felicitated for their sincere contributions to the railways. The retired personnel have been assured travel allowances as their rights and any assistance in near future would be warmly extended to them by the department.

Doctor’s Day at SCS

Surendranath Centenary School observed Nutrition week from 25th to 29th June which concluded with “Doctor’s Day” celebration in order appreciate the importance of doctors in our lives. The significance of healthy habits, proper nutrition and hygiene turned out to be the main focus of the event. Besides this the cultural events such as skit and dance were the major attraction of the celebration.

Teachers felicitated by SOF

The Science Olympiad Foundation on Friday felicitated the teachers of Oxford Public School for imparting quality education to the students. The event took place during the morning assembly in the school premises. Raj Kishore Sharma was awarded the trophy for “Best Teacher” whereas Abhimanyu Dubey was felicitated for being “Best Assistant”. The trophies and the certificates were present by Suraj Sharma who is the principal of the school on behalf of SOF. The principal extended his warm wishes to the trophy owners and said that it is a proud moment for the whole institution.
