PSEB Class-XII exams commences today

Chandigarh: As the Punjab School Education Board’s Class XII examination commences from Wednesday throughout the state, the state Education Minister Aruna Chaudhary has extended her best wishes to the students. The Minister has exhorted the students to undertake exams with utmost sincerity thus upholding the righteous principles as this is the delicate stage in their lives from where they would be embarking on their chosen career path. She said that the PSEB has made full preparations regarding smooth conduct of exams and any case of copying, if found, would be dealt with very severely.

Shiv Nadar University announces admissions

Chandigarh: Shiv Nadar University, announced that admissions for its MBA program are open. The University continues to offer its highly sought after iGlobal MBA Program, the acclaimed undergraduate BMS Program, and a PhD Program in Management. The programs will be offered under the aegis of the School of Management and Entrepreneurship (SoME), in the academic session commencing July, 2018, said Shubhro Sen, Director, School of Management and Entrepreneurship.

Shoolini University launches Mission 130

Chandigarh: Shoolini University, Solan has become the first university of the region to announce its initiative working towards 100 percent employability to its students. Under the Mission 130 programme launched by the university, it will work towards not only preparing its graduates for various job opportunities but also by partnering with top companies to attain its objective which aims at 100 percent employability for its graduates in quality jobs, while 30 percent will be able to pursue great careers, said PK Khosla, Vice Chancellor of the university.

Pushpa Talwar memorial oration held at PGI

CHANDIGARH: Malcolm Richardson, Director of Mycology Reference Centre and Professor of Medical Mycology, University of Manchester, UK delivered the 5th Pushpa Talwar Memorial Oration on ‘Fungal Infections following natural disasters: a major public health challenge’ on Tuesday 27 Feb.  The oration is instituted in the name of Dr Pushpa Talwar, who was the Head of Medical Microbiology Department and initiated to work on the neglected discipline, Medical Mycology at PGI.
