2 held for duping man, woman for Rs 2 lakh

Bagh Sewania police have booked two persons including a woman for selling others’ plots and duping the victim to the tune of Rs2 lakh at Alkapuri. A case was registered in the police station on Monday.

According to the police, Nikhlesh Barde of Banganga was duped by Ashok and Kavita Naagle by selling plot of some other person.A complaint was filed regarding the fraud and after completion of the investigation the police have registered a case under section 420 and 34 IPC.

In her complaint the victim stated that she met Ashok in the year 2014 who later introduced him to Kavita Naagle who owns office in Alkapuri. Kavita provided details of a plot owned by her which she wanted to sell. After the victim got assured and visited the plot, he agreed. In February, 2014, the victim handed over Rs1.91 lakh in the name of registry of the property and advance payment against the plot which was bought by the victim but the accused never got the transfer of the property and refused to return the money paid by the victim.

later, the victim lodged a complaint with the police and after the preliminary investigation a case was registered against the accused.

Victim told the police that when he verified the details of the property it was revealed that the property do not belonged to Kavita and was owned by some other person.

The victim works with a private company and used to live in Banganga area where he met Ashok.
