2 bike-borne miscreants snatch gold chain

Two bike-borne miscreants snatched a gold chain worth Rs 50,000 from the neck of a 35-year-old woman near Sanjeev Nagar under Nishatpura  police station area in the wee hours on Tuesday.

According to the police, Yasoda Pal had gone for morning walk along with her husband Sanjeev Nagar when she was attacked by two bike borne miscreants, who later escaped with the gold chain from the spot.

The victim lodged a complaint with the Nishatpura police and claimed that she had gone for morning walk and while they were on morning walk her husband was way ahead and while she was alone she was were attacked by two bike borne miscreants who snatched the gold chain she was wearing.

She claimed that the gold chain was worth Rs 50,000.

Police claimed that the victim has not sustained injuries but were not able to save them from the robbery.

The incident took place at around 5 in the morning and at the time of the incident the area was deserted.

The victim raised alarm for help but all in vain.

The victim claimed that the pillion rider snatched the gold chain, the two were youths in the age group of 20 years.

But the details of the bike and other details of the youths were not available with the victim due to the sudden attack by the bike borne miscreants.

The police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation. 

Victim’s husband is retired army personnel.
