As per the online data, a total of 178 foreign nationals living in the State of Chhattisgarh have applied for Indian citizenship, the Central Government has informed.
A total of 268 foreign nationals living in the State of Chhattisgarh have been granted long Term Visa (lTV) during the last three years, it informed.
A number of Pakistani nationals belonging to minority communities in Pakistan, mainly Hindus and Sikhs, coming to India on valid travel documents, have been applying for lTV and Indian Citizenship during the past several years. This includes such persons who come to India on the ground of religious persecution in Pakistan, the Government informed.
