‘Officials must reach public, not the other way round’

To ensure that the benefit of governmental welfare schemes reach the intended beneficiares, the Government officials will have to reach the general public and not the other way round.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said this at an open public meet in Doiwala on Sunday. The chief minister instructed the officials to go to the remote areas and set up campd and facilitate issuance of the golden card of the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana. Instructions were issued to chief development officers, sub divisional magistrates and village development officer to systematically make the golden card for all the people. Rawat further issued strict instructions to the officers to work with full transparency.

He said that through the use of technology and networking, the benefits of the schemes must reach to the people residing in the remote areas.

He said that the CIPET started in Doiwala will be a boon for the region. About four thousand students will pass out from here every year. Regional Center of NIRD will be opened soon in Doiwala, apart from which the foundation stone for a 300-bed maternity hospital will also be laid in Doiwala in January.

He further said that the Thano hospital is being handed over to AIIMS Rishikesh. Here the doctors of AIIMS Rishikesh will provide their services. Work is being done to open the Coast Guard recruitment centre in Doiwala area. Work on special projects is also underway for the beautification of Doiwala. Work will be done for beautification on both sides of Madhuri Canal and development of nearby parks. Soon, work on beautification of Doiwala's market area has to be started.

Chief Minister heard the problems of the local people in large number during 'Janta Darbar' organided at Lachhiwala guest house in Doiwala on Sunday and directed the officials concerned to take necessary action. On this occasion, the chief minister congratulated the newly appointed president of State Minorities Commission RK Jain, who announced free of cost consultancy services in CMI Hospital and 20 per cent conecession on medicines and whole treatment to people of Doiwala region.

Extending New Year greetings, the Chief Minister said that all the developmental works will be completed in the area.

All the complaints received in the Janta Darbar will be resolved as soon as possible. In the state, on December 25, on the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Atal Uttarakhand Ayushman Yojana was launched. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country, which has shown the courage to give all the citizens of the state and every family the benefit of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.

The benefits of this Yojana will be for all the 23 lakh families of the state. This is not for any particular category but for everyone.

Taking serious note of the progress of the construction of local bridges by the Public Works Department during the Janta Darbar, the Chief Minister asked the officers about the progress of construction works of Chandipur bridge, Jhabarwala, Khairiwala and Bullawala bridge. Officials informed that the work is progressing fast.

He also reviewed the work of Lachhiwala bridge.

Rawat has given strict directions to the Social Welfare officer for early settlement of matters related to the social pension of the area.

Instructions were issued to the Chief Development Officer and municipal council chairman to settle the complaints of non-payment of toilet constructions in Doiwala city area.

Rawat also issued instructions to the police department for quick police investigation regarding the differently abled child of the area Ankit Yadav, who was missing for the last six days.

On the problem of appointment of physicians in Dharkot veterinary clinic, the Chief Minister said that the physicians will be appointed soon. Chief Minister asked the officers to set up reservation centers in the area and to get the blind turn repaired soon.
