Gujarat BJP has formed a five-member team to assess different socio-economic factors in 26 lok Sabha constituencies across the State in order to win all the seats in the upcoming general elections in 2019.
The team was formed during a meeting in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and State BJP president Jitu Vagahani apart from other top leaders of State BJP unit. On the basis of the findings of the team, BJP would strategise for the lok Sabha polls in Gujarat’s 26 seats.
“The 5-member team would visit all the lok Sabha constituencies across the State and prepared a detail report considering social, economic, caste and religious equations. The members of the teams would also suggest what the party should do in order to secure win for its candidates,” said a senior BJP leader.
Sources in the party said that repeating 2014 lok Sabha poll’s performance would be the biggest challenge for the party, as the saffron brigade won all the seats in the State in last elections. The top leadership of BJP has become alert, especially after 2017 Assembly polls in which the party reduced from 115 seats to 99.
A detailed analysis of all 26 lok Sabha constituencies would be done by the team keeping office-bearers of BJP Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, district presidents and secretaries and other key BJP leaders in the State.
In the meeting discussion took place on strategies for booth management, arrangement of page-presidents, formation of social media teams, legal teams, and appointments of in-charges for all 26 lok Sabha constituencies.
