Starting from this year the students will be able to write the Eamcet or the common entrance test for admission in engineering and agriculture courses in Urdu language, the second official language of Telangana, apart from English and Telugu. For the first time this common test will be held in online mode and about 1.5 lakh students were expected to appear in it.
The common entrance test will be held between May 2 and 7 and process of applying online will start from March 4, chairman, council of higher education, Papi Reddy announced.
He said that while the Eamcet was earlier held only in English and Telugu, for the first time the question papers will also be prepared in Urdu language.
The students opting for Urdu will be given questions both in Urdu and English while the other students will be given question papers in English and Telugu languages.
