SDMC removes 275 illegal constructions

In a major anti- encroachment drive, South Delhi Municipal Corporation has removed 275 structures illegally constructed on both sides of roads.

The drive was jointly conducted by the South Zone licensing Branch, Traffic Police and Delhi Police. A senior SDMC official said that action was initiated in all its zones and will be continued. In the drive, vendors, hawkers, building violators and Health trade license violators, semi -permanent and permanent structures were targeted, he said. The official further informed that 400 items, 43 four wheelers, 19 two wheelers, five autos seized. "20 jhuggis also demolished in the drive," he said.
