Three unidentified miscreants looted about Rs 2.17 lakh and a car from a labour contractor near Dharampur Chowk under Rajendra Park police station area on Tuesday night. According to the police, victim leela Ram was going towards Rewari from Delhi in his I-20 car.
He had stopped near Dharampur Chowk when all of a suddenly three unidentified miscreants entered his car and held him hostage on gun point. later they moved towards Delhi. The accused snatched the money, mobile and dropped the victim at Jhatikra village in Delhi and fled with the car.
The victim later filed an FIR in Rajendra Park police station in Gurugram. However, no clue was found till reports came in.
Sources said it was not a first time that such a huge amount has been looted by miscreants in Gurugram.
Meanwhile, a senior police said, “Aroud one thousand constables are going to join the Gurugram police force. The deployment of such cops will differently help to curb such kind of incidents in Gurugram”.
“A case has been registered in this regards under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Rajendra Park police station. We are scanning CCTV footage of the crime spot to develop the identity of the accused person. Further probe into the matter is underway the accused will be arrested soon,” Ravinder Kumar, Public Relation Officer of Gurugram police, said.
