The Delhi Police has informed the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) that they have completed the investigation in connection with using of fake caste certificate by the accused Pardeshi Mahto to get job in the civic body.
Police said following the complaints, the accused was arrested and an investigation carried out to verify the veracity of the caste certificate produced by the accused at the time of appointment.
"Verification of the alleged caste certificate was sought from office of district welfare officer, Saran (Bihar) and register of ST caste certificate 1985 was seized and placed on record. Police said it is preparing a charge sheet and will submit it before trail court shortly.
