A new cyber lab was inaugurated at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Academy, Ghaziabad to facilitate training to the investigating officers. The cyber lab, along with three other newly constructed facilities augmenting the existing infrastructure, was inaugurated by CBI Director Alok Kumar Verma on Monday.
In the wake of growing demand for training on cyber crime investigation the third cyber lab is expected to facilitate "niche" training to the investigating officers of the CBI.

While second book "Handling of Electronic Evidence" is to guide the investigators and prosecutors regarding accurate acquisition, maintaining integrity, in-depth analysis and structured presentation of electronic evidence before the court of law.
The book "Scientific Aids to Investigation and Forensic Medicines" explains different methods used for collection, handling, packing and forwarding the physical evidence for forensic examination and their evidentiary value. This book also deals with the forensic medicine which provides a basic understanding of medico-legal aspects of the crime and the book "Scientific Interrogation & Interview Techniques" examines in detail various aspects of interview/interrogation techniques and provides techniques for detecting deception in the statements made by the witnesses/suspects, including legal aspects for bringing out the concealed information.
