The Delhi University (DU) will come up with its seventh cut-off list for admission to its merit based Undergraduate (UG) courses for academic session 2018-19 on August 6.
The seventh cut-off is to be followed by eighth cut-off list on August 13 which will be a "special drive" for admitting the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), Persons with Disability (PwD), Kashmiri Migrant (KM) and Sikh Minority (SM).
The admissions to merit based UG courses in DU are based on cut-off on the basis of best four subjects. DU already came up with six cut-offs against five "realistic" announced earlier.
The number of admissions had already crossed the total number of seats but at some courses and colleges seats are still vacant for the unreserved and reserved category. The seventh cut-off and the eighth that would be a special drive is imperative to fill these seats and also to make admissions figures of different categories in tune with reservation policy, informed a DU official.
Document verification and approval of admission by colleges and centers against 7th cut-off would be made from August 6 to August 8 while admission against eighth cut-off or special drive would be made from August 13 to August 16 except on August 15.
Also, admissions for the Sports and Extracurricular Activity (ECA) quota and ward quota shall be carried out along with seventh and eighth cut-off provided seats are available. However, the final schedule of ECA and Sports would be announced separately.
