Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has prepared a Detailed Project Report to ease Old Delhi Road traffic movement. The authority will build slip roads, cycle tracks, footpaths and also install traffic signals along with traffic booth on the stretch to decongest traffic.
Four major traffic junctions on the corridor have been identified by the civic body where plan will be implemented. Sector 18, Jwala Mill, Sector 21 and Hanuman Chowk have been identified by the MCG. The estimated cost of the project will be around Rs 6 crore. “The project DPR had been prepared by a private agency. These four traffic junctions were also included in survey for development work. During the survey, the agency had worked on traffic volume, sleep road and space available on the stretch,” ND Vashisht, Chief Engineer, MCG, said.
