A 23-year-old man was killed after unidentified men attacked him with knives near his residence in Northwest Delhi’s Rani Bagh area on late hours of Monday.
Police said the deceased, identified as Nandan Singh used to work in a restaurant. Police said the motive behind Singh’s murder is unclear as his phone and wallet were found intact.
Confirming the incident, Aslam Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) said, “At around 1 am on Monday, a PCR call was received regarding a man being stabbed in Rani Bagh. The injured, Nandan Singh (23), a resident of Pitampura village was admitted to the Saroj hospital by his uncle.”
Police said during enquiry, it was found that Nandan died during the course of treatment. It emerged that Nandan used to work in a restaurant in Rohini. He was a native of Uttarakhand. Khan added, “A case under IPC section 302 has been registered at the Rani Bagh Police Station.”
