In two separate incidents in the national Capital’s Mangolpuri area, two people were stabbed to death while three others were injured on Wednesday night following a clash between two groups.
According to police, they have received a Police Control Room (PCR) call regarding the scuffle. A team rushed the spot and found that following old enmity a group of people around 10:30 pm came to I-block in Mangolpuri.
“The group had come to target someone else but he was not present in the area following which to create terror in the area the group attacked four people with knife. Two identified as Dinesh (30) and Karamvir (47) were declared brought dead in the hospital whereas Vinay (25) and Irshad (28) were severely injured and are undergoing treatment in Sanjay Gandhi Hospital,” said a police official.
“We have detained a juvenile and few other people linked to this incident. The culprits were wearing mask during the crime. Incident entire is captured in CCTV camera installed in the area and we are also looking for CCTV footage around the area to catch the accused. Further investigation is going on,” said a senior police official.
In another incident in Magolpuri N-block, a Delhi Jal Board employee Suresh (50) was stabbed by his neighbours over a scuffle. “The victim was stabbed by knife. He was immediately rushed to hospital and he is undergoing treatment and is unfit for statement,” said a police official.
