The Ghaziabad Police has arrested two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) of the Delhi Police for robbing 10 kg gold from a Mumbai-based jewellery firm. The two ASIs have been identified as Satender Singh posted at Ghazipur police station and Brahm Pal posted at Kalyanpuri police station of the East district.
Additional Director General Prashant Kumar claimed they have busted a nexus of robbers with certain police officials of the Delhi Police and have also recovered gold chains looted from a Mumbai-based jewellery firm Union Jewellers (P) ltd.
Addressing the media, ADG Prashant Kumar said that the Ghaziabad Police team have done a commendable job by exposing a dangerous nexus of Delhi Police lower subordinates with the robbers.
