The Delhi Police on Thursday arrested two burglars who allegedly broke into a restaurant in Sarita Vihar, ate biryani and stole a laptop when they didn’t find any cash in the cash counter.
“We have filed First Information Report (FIR) on 28 August on complaint of restaurant Deez Biryani Kababat Pocket F of Sarita Vihar that someone has broken the upper grill of rear gate of his shop at the intervening night of August 27, 28 and has stolen his lenovo laptop with bag,” said Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), south east district.
“Acting on the complaint, information was gathered by the beat staff that one boy alongwith his associate would come to District park, Madanpur Khadar for sale of a laptop.
Accordingly, a trap was laid at District Park and two persons carrying a laptop bag were apprehended. They both were identified as Raju Singh (19) and Bobby (22). From their possession a laptop bag having a lenovo laptop in it was recovered,” said DCP.
“During interrogation accused revealed they used to visit the Deez Biryani Kabab shop for eating biryani and they had noticed that due to high sales, good amount of cash in-flow takes place in the shop. Both the accused persons planned to target the said shop. Being disqappointed not find cash in counter they stole the lenovo laptop and remained in the shop for quite some-time and ate Biryani which was kept in the shop.
