The residents of the national Capital on Thursday woke up to a humid morning with the minimum temperature settling at 26.3 degrees Celsius. According to the MeT department, the humidity level recorded at 8.30 am was 88 per cent. However, a day earlier the weatherman had predicted light rain in several parts of the city later in the day.
A MeT official said 16.2 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the last 24 hours.
“The skies will remain partly cloudy. There is possibility of light rain later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 34 degrees Celsius,” the official said.
On Wednesday, heavy rains lashed several parts of the city, causing traffic snarls in a few areas. The maximum temperature was recorded at 31.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 26.3 degrees Celsius.
