Amidst controversy over tempering of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday gave new abbreviation for the EVM, claiming that it stands for ‘Every Vote Modi’.
“Citizens of Delhi in the recent MCD polls have also proved that EVM stands for ‘Every Vote Modi’ Chief Minister claimed while addressing the Party workers and his supporters who thronged during his visit to Gorakhpur on Saturday afternoon.
Interestingly, earlier in the day, former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav strongly apprehended tempering in EVMs citing that if a chip and remote can be used in petrol pump to steal the fuel, the same could be also apply in EVMs.
Adityanath also hailed the policies of the Centre and discussed in length about future plan. “Prime Minister had ended the VIP culture in the Country,” Adityanath said while lauding the move of Modi on removing red and blue beacon lights from VVIPs vehicles.
He said that many welfare programmes have been taken in the State and various steps have been also taken by him to maintain law and order condition in the State.
