The ‘Made in Italy’ plays its rule at Italian Embassy in NEW Delhi
On the 11th of December an important celebration promoting the "Made in Italy" took place at the Italian Embassy in New Delhi by the will of Angeloni Italian Ambassador in collaboration with Alitalia, the Italian flight Company which has started again the air route Italy - Delhi. The most famous Italian excellences have been proudly represented: art, design, music, food and Angelo Garini, "the architect of dreams" has been the master planner of the event. Two Week FDP on Entrepreneurship concludes at NIFTEM
NIFTEM organized two weeks Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship Development from 18th-30th December 2017 focusing on enhancing entrepreneurial skills among faculty members and preparing trainers for entrepreneurship development with 25 participants from 12 states. Renowned educationist and Chairman of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), MHRD, Govt. of India Prof CB Sharma was chief guest of valedictory function and emphasized need for entrepreneurship development among youth. Dr C Vasudevappa, Vice Chancellor, NIFTEM presided over the function and congratulated participants on successful completion of programme. The programme was sponsored by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India through Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) as its National Implementing & Monitoring Agency (NIMAT). NIFTEM Registrar Dr TN Giri, Prof. Ashutosh Upadhyay, Dr. Sanjyay Bhayana, Dr. Vikas Saxena and all faculty and staff were present during the valedictory function.
PERKINElMER EXPlORING FURTHER INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN INDIA
United States based PerkinElmer, which is a global leader committed to innovating for a healthier world, is exploring opportunities to invest in India in the next 3-5 years and has approached the Centre in this regard. The international firm has already invested over $100 million in last few years in India and is mulling to invest the same amount in future to provide health facilities and simultaneously generate employment. “We will continue to invest in India in the coming years by lending support to government initiatives such as Skill India Mission and Make in India, in addition to technology innovations in the health (including science and technology), environmental screening (air, water, soil) and food quality sectors,” said Dr Prahlad Singh, Senior Vice President and President, PerkinElmer Inc. The company already has manufacturing sites in India, two in Goa and one in Uttarakhand. Speaking on the health care challenges in India Singh said there are three main healthcare delivery challenges in India viz the availability of the doctor/specialist; the referral and follow-up system for diagnostics and long-term management of disease/disorders; and the limited use of technology.
5,949 Constable/trainees Pass out from CISF Training Centres
CISF was allocated 20,449 Constable/Recruits in 2017, out of which around 18,600 are currently undergoing Basic Training in 06 Regional Training Centres (RTCs) and 01 Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) of CISF . With this CISF becomes first amongst the CAPF to conduct basic training for such a large number of recruits in one go. This was the herculean task, all necessary arrangements were made in the RTCs on war footing to provide necessary infrastructure for training without compromising with the quality of training. New concepts such as 'Training Battalion' and 'Mentoring' have been introduced in order to make the training more realistic and meaningful. The training curriculum and methodologies were also suitably modified focusing on areas which constitute the core competence of a Constable in CISF. On 28th December' 2017, OP Singh, DG, CISF was the Chief Guest during passing out of 1062 Constable trainees at RTC, Mundali (Odisha). On 29th December 2017, OP Singh visited RTC Arakkonam where 1600 women Constables were undergoing training. Passing outparade for 782 women Constables was organized.
EXTENSION OF SERVICES OF SPECIAl TRAINS
For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush of passengers, Railways have decided to extend the run of 08617/08618 Ranchi-Anand Vihar Terminal-Ranchi weekly special trains with existing composition, timings, stoppages and days of service as per the following programme — The 08617 Ranchi-Anand Vihar Terminal weekly special train will be extended to run from 06.01.2018 to 31.03.2018 (on every Saturday), while the 08618 Anand Vihar Terminal-Ranchi weekly special train will be extended to run from 07.01.2018 to 01.04.2018 (on every Sunday).
