Members of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha in Banda created a ruckus and forced the police to return without taking any action against one of their members against whom a local court had issued a warrant and notice for property attachment.
Not only this, to terrorise the police personnel, the outfit leaders even threatened to get a case of misbehaving with women and looting Rs 50,000 from the accused registered and getting them suspended.
Surprisingly, the cops did not mind returning empty handed and also ccouldd not muster courage to initaite action in this matter. Additional SP in Banda, Ajay Pratap claimed of having no knowledge of the incident.
As per reports, BJYM district vice president (Banda) Mahendra Singh Kachwah was protecting his tenant Deepak Singh residing in Masreta area against whom the Chief Judicial Magistrate had issued arrest warrant and served a property attachment notice. On Friday morning, sub-inspector Shiv Prasad from Civil lines police outpost went to execute the court orders. But before he could nab Deepak, he had to face the ire of Kachwah. The BJYM leader not only hurled abuses at the cop but also threatened him showing the temerity to come to arrest Deepak.
During the fracas, Deepak slipped through the backdoor and the police team had to return empty handed. On their way, the police team was once again accosted by District chief of Yuva Morcha Pushkar Dwivedi and dozens of members, who misbehaved with the cops at GIC ground crossing.
The belligerent Morcha activists hurled expletives and threatened to get a case registered against the police for misbehaving with females and 'looting' money.
The matter be resolved only after the cops apologised for 'trying to implement the court order' and assured of 'no such action in future especially against ruling party activists'.
