Vinoba Bhave University has planned to organise a two day long establishment day ceremony this year. It will be the concluding ceremony of year long programmes of the silver jubilee year of establishment of this university.
A meeting was called in the conference hall of VBU on Wednesday by the university administration in which the roles of different committees constituted for silver jubilee year programmes were reviewed. The conveners of different committees presented their reports in this meeting. VC, Pro VC, DSW and Registrar thanked everyone for their support in organising programmes and told them to be ready to make the concluding program that is going to be organized on 16th and 17th September this year.
Addressing the gathering VC Prof. Ramesh Sharan said that this year two day long program has been planned in which along with cultural programmes we want to invite some scholars of national or international repute to deliver a lecture. From his side he suggested some names which include Nobel lauriate Kailash Satyarthi, first chancellor of universities of Jharkhand Prabhat Kumar, ex-home secretary of government of India Muchkund Dubey etc.
He sought suggestions from the teachers, staffs and officials to give some names whom the university can invite. The names of the dignitaries will be finalized soon.
