The Uttar Pradesh Congress flayed Yogi Adityanath’s controversial remark on children’s death at BRD Medical College in Gorakhpur and said that the CM had lost the moral right to continue on the top post and suggested that Yogi should put in his papers if he found himself incapable of ensuring safety and security to the people.
“Since Yogi was an MP from Gorakhpur, he never missed an opportunity to criticise the state governments and staged protests if any children died due to Encephalitis in districts. Now he is making such irresponsible and insensitive remarks over the deaths of children,” said MlC Deepak Singh.
“Initially, Yogi ruled out any death of children in BRD Hospital due to lack of oxygen. Now he was making a mockery of their parents by saying that some day people will leave their infants for the government raise them,” Singh highlighted.
Singh was reacting to Yogi’s remark made in lucknow on Wednesday in which while indirectly criticising the media for targeting his government over the Gorakhpur tragedy, Yogi had said that some day people will leave their infnats for the government to rare.
“Why did Yogi weep in the Parliament when children died in Gorakhpur earlier IJ Now that he is heading a government, is it not the government’s responsibility to safeguard the citizens particularly children. After failing to provide security to the masses and ensure treatment to t he ailing children, now he is targeting the media for highlighting the truth,” stressed the Congress MlC.
