In order to ensure a peaceful Kanwad mela, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the police officers of both Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Thursday. State additional director general of police (law and order) Ram Singh Meena and Garhwal Range deputy inspector general of police Pushpak Jyoti represented Uttarakhand at the meeting.
CM directed police officers of both the states to coordinate among themselves while promptly sharing information. He stressed on the police station officers of both the states to conduct joint checking drives in the areas sharing boundary of the two States.
