Cello along with APJ Abdul Kalam Centre launched Dreamathon 2017 in Bhopal on Saturday. Dreamathon 2017 an initiative is inspired and created from Abdul Kalam’s vision of igniting passion with the aim to encourage creativity and showcase talent amongst the youth of India.
As a part of the Dreamathon 2017 initiative, the ‘Missile of Dreams’ a customised van that was flagged off by Minister of Revenue and Science and Technology Umashankar Gupta, is slated to cover 10,000 km. By travelling across cities it aims to cover and engage with students from different schools and colleges.
The event was graced by Vishnu Dut Sharma, Chairman, Nehru Yuva Kendra and State general secretary of the BJP and Director of Culture department Rajesh Prasad Mishra. The event highlighted the vibrant cultural performances presented by differently abled children from Bhopal based NGO, Arushi. It saw a wide range of performances from group singing, poetry recitations and theatre performances by the children. The winners of the Kalam Memorial Children Impact Awards were also announced.
