Three Bol Bom devotees drown in Puri, B'swar

Three Bol Bom devotees got watery grave in as many incidents in Puri and Baleswar districts on Sunday.

In Puri town, one Sanjit Dalei (28) and two of his brothers of Balikuda Talua village under the Balichandrapur police station in Jajapur district were washed away in the sea while taking a holy dip.

lifeguards rescued two while Sanjit drowned.

In another incident in the district, one Amit Kumar Rath of Brahmapur and his associate were washed away in river Bhargavi at Chandanpur while taking holy bath to carry water in morning.

Other devotees present at the river embankment rescued one while Amit was missing. Efforts were on by lifeguards and locals to recover Amit.

Besides, a Bol Bom devotee drowned in a river in Baleswar district.

The deceased was identified as Mina Marandi of Srikona village in Chandipur.
