Despite assurances from district adminisration,loot theft and snatching incidents are on rise in Bokaro. Making mockery of the system, thieves escaped with goods worth several lakhs rupees under City and Chas police station in Bokaro on Tuesday night.
In two separate incidents, Cash and valuables, worth Rs 3.80 lakhs have been stolen. According to the police, thieves entered into the house of Niraj Kumar Tripathi at Sector 2 B after breaking the lock and escaped with ornaments, valuable and cash worth Rs 3 lakhs under City police station.
While another theft incident occurred at Bhagwati colony under Chas police station where Cash, valuables worth Rs 80 thousand were stolen from the house of Rameshwar Kumar, police said. Further investigation is on.
