AAP MlA and the leader of opposition Sukhpal Khaira on Wednesday accused the ruling Congress for finishing his life by trapping him in a drug case.
“They are finishing my life,” reacted Khaira as he broke down during a press briefing after the House passed a resolution condemning releasing of an audio clip and seeking action from the Chief Justice. Khaira, terming the entire episode political conspiracy to frame him, said that the Congress wanted that he should not get reprieve from any court.
“I could not imagine Capt Amarinder can stoop so low. They have misused the Vidhan Sabha and unleashed political vendetta against me,” he said adding that now, “I fear that they can even eliminate me physically”.
He clarified that neither he nor the Bains Brothers named any judge or said a word against the judiciary while releasing the audio tape. “We rely on them as we are facing many cases against us…It is an effort to deny me justice,” he said.
Khaira said that they said that they are passing the resolution to protect dignity of judges, “but it was done to ensure that I do not get any reprieve from any court”.
