The Swadeshi Jagran Manch and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) jointly organised the Rashtriya Swadesi Suraksha Abhiyan here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, an awareness programme held to convince people not to use Chinese products and, instead, use India-made products.
A team led by the Manch’s Ganjam district convenor Prasana Kumar Chotray, Abhiyan convenor Haraprasad Swain, district co-covenor Haribandhu Nayak and town convenor Pradeep Kumar Sahoo held a discussion and submitted a memorandum to the Southern Range RDC addressed to the Chief Minister.
Among others, Prahlad Panigrahi, Ramakant Rath, Bhabani Sankar Dash, Susant Gangdev, Bipin Choudhury, Tutun Patra, Padma Charan Das and Prakash Chandra Tripathy were present.
Earlier, the Manch had organised a motorbike rally here on August 22 and had held awareness programmes and protest meetings to mark the Abhiyan.
Manch members said security and economic empowerment of the country can be achieved when people would use India-made products only.
