Professor Pramod Verma was addressing the concluding day of Eco Smart School Science Festival on Wednesday. The festival was held at Bansal Institute of Science and Technology. Besides, it was organised by Science Centre Gwalior in association with National Council for Science and Technology Communication, New Delhi.

Professor Pramod Verma while addressing the students present at the Eco Smart School Science Festival said that the current situation of natural resources and their usage is really saddening. “We should move towards development undoubtedly, but what should we leave behind for our future generation is a matter of concern today,” said Verma. He said, “Hence a positive attitude and a scientific approach is necessary for a better development.”

Verma further said that only scientific approach can lead to a better future. He also appreciated the event Eco Smart School Science Festival organised for the school students and said that it is one of its kinds and will help the youngsters a lot.

To mark the grand closure of Eco Smart School Science Festival various cultural events were also organised on Wednesday. A science painting competition was organised on the occasion. The participants beautifully depicted their perceptions related to science and technology. Further, the students also portrayed the future of the country through science and technology. As many as 500 studnets participated in the painting competition.

This was not all, the students also presented musical and theatre performances on stage leaving the audience totally enthralled. This was also followed with the Science Quiz in which the students participated actively and enthusiastically.

The entire event was concluded with a felicitation programme wherein the winners of the various competitions were awarded for their brilliant performances.
