As many as 12 youths were arrested and forwarded to court by police in the communal clash in Rajgangpur. Section 144 is in force in the tension-ridden areas and 12 platoons of force have been deployed.
The clash had occurred over assault of one Pradip Tanty, a youth of Rajgangpur at Rabani square on Friday. Police had organized peace committee meeting between the hostile community members and tried to maintain peace. Flag march was also conducted in Rajgangpur by the forces. Meanwhile, SP Nikhil Kanoria said the situation was under control.
