The Union Minister of State for Power R K Singh has appreciated the initiatives of Uttarakhand Government to improve the power supply, usage and quality in the State. The Minister was informed that the State has taken a unique step of monitering the performance of power department officers on improving power supply in their Confidential Report (CR). Similarly, the use of energy efficient lED bulbs is being made in all offices of the State. These bulbs are being distributed by the Self Help Groups. Terming these measures as best practices; the Union Minister said that other States should also emulate the steps taken by the Uttarakhand in this regard.
