A two-day 22nd All Odisha Quality Circle Convention, organised by the Nalco here concluded on April 27. On the concluding day, NalcoChief Vigilance Officer Biswaranjan Samal was chief guest and handed over prizes to the winning teams.
Samal advised the participating teams to take quality movement to further heights in the State and create a knowledge bank of all improvement projects for dissemination of knowledge.
Dr BR Bangray of QCFI delivered the keynote address and appreciated the Nalco’s efforts in propagating the culture of innovation by promoting the TQM movement in the State. He said that with the Make in India initiative there must be greater emphasis on re-engineering processes to improve efficiency, and quality circles would have a large role to play.
On April 26, Nalco Director (Finance) KC Samal had inaugurated the convention. Altogether, 35 Quality Circles and TPM Circles from 24 units of different organisations participated in the convention and presented their case studies.
