No one can stop construction of Ram temple: Sakshi Maharaj

Wednesday, 31 May 2017 | PNS | Lucknow

Claiming that even Muslims now wanted construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya, BJP MP from Unnao Shakshi Maharaj said that no power on earth could stop the construction of temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. “There is no confusion now. A magnificent Ram temple will be constructed at the designated place at Ram Janmabhoomi and mark my words the work may start before 2019,” Maharaj told ‘The Pioneer’ in lucknow on Tuesday. The MP was in lucknow to appear in the Babri mosque demolition case. “People now wanted the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya. Even Muslims maintain that a temple should be constructed at Ram Janmabhoomi because it was the birth place of lord Rama,” said he. “Who are these people opposing the construction of (Ram) temple there (Ram Janmabhoomi). There is no one now.

You must have seen big hoardings by Muslim leaders advocating construction of the temple. Those opposing construction have now become Ram Bhakt,” the MP said. In the same vein, he said that construction work may start before 2019. However without elaborating further on whether it would start following a Supreme Court order or after reaching at mutual consensus between Hindus and Muslims, the MP said,“Do not go into this nitty gritty. Temple will be built there.” Meanwhile, Union Water Resources minister Uma Bharati, who is also an accusedin the case, said that there was no conspiracy behind demotion. “Yeh khula andolan tha jaise Emergency ke khilaf hua tha. Is andolan mein kya sazish thi mujhe pata nahi abhi (The Ayodhya Movement was people’s agitation like Emergency and what was the conspiracy behind it, I don’t know),” she said. “We have been asked to appear in CBI court so we are here,” she said. However, VHP leader Ram Vilas Vedanti admitted that he was among those who had pulled down the structure in Ayodhya. “I was one of those who had pulled down the dome of the disputed structure in Ayodhya,” Vedanti told reporters before appearing in the court. “I will tell everything in the court,” Vedanti said.
