Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday joined social media platform Instagram to connect with the people, particularly the new generation. Patnaik had earlier joined social media sites Twitter and Facebook. A statement of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said Patnaik can be followed on Instagram account @Naveen_Odisha.
Patnaik tweeted, “Invite my friends to connect on @instagram now, and take forward our engagement with your views & suggestions https://www.instagram.com/naveen_odisha/.”
Earlier, the Chief Minister had directed all Government departments to join on the social media bandwagon to promote various welfare schemes launched by the State Government from time to time.
He had said that using social media is crucial to establish two-way communication between the Government and citizens.
