leaders of all political parties including Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the 11th day death ritual get-together of Odisha Jan Morcha president and former Rajya Sabha member Pyarimohan Mohapatra at the Swadhinata Sangrami Bhavan ground here on Wednesday evening.
The Chief Minister paid floral tribute to the photograph of his onetime mentor Mohapatra, who had worked as the guide of the ruling BJD from its inception till 2009 before falling out with its president Patnaik in 2012.
Patnaik, who stayed at the get-together for about 15 minutes, took cold drink and talked to Mohapatra’s family members. The others who attended the ceremony included several members of the State Ministry, MPs and MlAs cutting across party lines and present and former bureaucrats.
