The students from across the country tested their IQ in a national quiz contest Chimera-X, organised on Monday at S Radhakrishnan Auditorium of Student’s Activity Centre (SAC) of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT).
The National level Quiz Competition was conducted by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Students' Chapter MANIT.
More than 10 teams from about nine cities of the country participated in the quiz competition.
Students from different colleges in Bhopal as well as other cities including Nagpur, Raipur, Jabalpur, Indore and more participated in a team of two.
The quiz competition was based on the general knowledge. The questions in various categories were asked to the participants.
Held in two rounds, the quiz competition was much enjoyed by the students. Interestingly, the students from non-technical colleges also participated in the competition.
The quiz began with a question-answer round. In this round the students were asked questions from history, geography, economics and politics.
Under this round as many as 14 teams were selected.
The next round was the audio-visual round. The participants were shown the pictures and were asked to recognise the audio. This round was even more interesting as the students were competing with full fervour and enthusiasm.
Two teams from Bhopal won the first and the second prizes.
They were awarded with cash prize of `15000 and `10,000 respectively. The third prize was won by the team from Raipur. It won the cash prize of ` 5000.
The quiz was hosted brilliantly by a celebrity quiz master Arya Priya Ganguly.
