Madhya Pradesh Minister for Agriculture Development and Farmer Welfare Gauri Shankar Bisen on Monday participated in several programmes on the third day of five-day Rashtriya Krishi Mela at Agriculture College here.
Bisen distributed cheques and citation to 46 farmers who have done outstanding works in farming, animal husbandry, fisheries etc under Chhattisgarh Government's Kirshi Yojna.
The Minister along with thousands of farmers and panchayat representatives of Balaghat region visited several stalls. He also attended ‘Krishi Paathshala’.
The farmers will surely get benefits of information related to advanced farming being provided in the fair here, said Bisen.
He further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has target to double the profit of farmers by 2022 which would be surely achieved.
During the programme, Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal presided over the function.
