The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) had announced to enforce no mobile phones into the temple premises from January 1, 2018.
The servitors would be allowed to take camera-less mobile phones and no officer or politician or VVIP would be allowed to take mobile phones into the temple.
In this connection to aware the people, a huge billboard was placed at a conspicuous place near the temple gate on Saturday. The notice further warns that if anybody found violating the direction the mobile phone would be confiscated while imposed fine on the person.
The police personnel and the temple guards manning the temple gates were enlightened about the order. This came after many images of the temple interior were made viral in social media by devotees and officials who pleaded ignorance and were went scot-free.
