A collection agent was targeted by miscreants and Rs 30,000 was stolen from his bag at Sindhi market area under Hanumanganj police station on Friday.
Police said that the victim Ashok Kumar Dhanak was carrying a bag having collection money of Sudharshan marketing firm.
The victim lodged a complaint with the Hanumanganj police and in his complaint the victim stated that he had gone for collection of payment in Narsingarh and Kurawar and after completing the work while on his way back to the city he alighted off the bus at lalghati square and boarded a city bus and at Sindhi market after he alighted off the city bus the money from the bag was found stolen.
The victim works as a collection agent for Sudarshan marketing.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Two days ago Hanumanganj police have nabbed two pickpockets who used to work with the help of bus owner.
Police said that the bus owner and driver would be questioned in this case and possibility of involvement of bus owner and driver could not be ruled out.
