State Transport and Social Welfare Minister Yashpal Arya, who is also the district in-charge, assured that the villagers will get higher centre medical facilities while hearing out the complaints made by the people during a Janata Darbar held at Markhora in Khirsu block on Wednesday.
The villagers of the gram sabha and its adjoining areas under Khirsu block raised several issues like, electricity, drinking water, education, medical facility, roads and pensions, before the Minister. While the villagers registered 82 complaints, the Minister solved 56 of them on the spot and instructed the district magistrate and the chief development officer to redress the rest at the earliest.
On the complaints of poor medical facility in the villages, Arya asked the officials to provide them with the medical higher centres and directed the chief medical officer to update PHCs and CHCs of the area. He added he will soon talk to the Chief Minister regarding the financial assistance to be given to the needy.
In course of the Janata Darbar, Arya distributed agriculture instruments power tillers and spray machines to the farmers. Among those present during the darbar were district magistrate Sushil Kumar, chief development officer Vijaya Jogdande, senior superintendent of police Jagat Ram Joshi, block pramukh Sushma Negi, former block pramukh Sampat Singh and SDM Srinagar Maya Dutt Joshi.
Meanwhile, at a health camp organised by the health department, 375 patients availed free medical test and investigation.
