The State Meteorology Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places especially in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital and US Nagar districts of Uttarakhandon Monday and Tuesday. In view of the forecast of very heavy rains the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Pauri has declared holiday in all schools of the district on Monday.
The monsoon clouds are expected to bring light to moderate rains and thunder showers in most places of the state.
The provisional state capital is expected to witness cloudy sky with one or two spells of heavy rains on Monday. The meteorology department has predicted that maximum and minimum temperatures in Dehradun are likely to remain at 30 degree and 24 degree Celsius respectively.
In Dehradun the maximum temperatures at 31.5 degree Celsius was two degree above normal while the minimum temperature was one degree higher than the normal and was recorded 24.2 degree Celsius on Sunday.
Pantnagar recorded a maximum temperature of at 32.2 degrees and a minimum of temperature of 26.4 degree Celsius. Mukteswar in Kumaon hills was cool as a Maximum temperature of 22 degree and minimum temperature of 15.3 degree was recorded.
